How to Download Your Earnings Records from SSA.gov (XML Format)
Accessing your Social Security earnings records and downloading them as XML is quick and easy! Follow these simple steps:
1. Go to SSA.gov
● Open your web browser and type SSA.gov in the address bar, or click here.
2. Sign In or Create an Account
● Click on “Sign In/Up” at the top right corner of the page.
● If you already have a mySocialSecurity account, log in with your username and password.
● If you don’t have an account, click “Create an Account” and follow the instructions—it’s a quick process!
3. Navigate to Your Earnings Record
● Once logged in, go to the section labeled “Earnings Record” or “View Your Earnings.”
4. Download as XML
● Look for the option to download your earnings records.
● Select XML format (not PDF). This ensures the data is formatted correctly for further use.
● Save the XML file to a secure location on your computer.
