How do RSSAs receive compensation?
Published: January 27, 2026Hi there,
Registered Social Security Analysts receive compensation according to their particular business model. Many RSSAs do not charge for a software claiming analysis and consider it a “value add” to their other services.
Other RSSAs may charge a fee based on the complexity of the client case. These fees can range from $400 to $1,500 per analysis.
Most RSSAs are retirement professionals of some type – finance, tax, insurance, senior care, estate planning, etc. – and the Social Security claiming decision is related to their other specialties, which are critical to understand in the claiming analysis.
You can find an RSSA to work with here.
Take care,
Martha
